Workshop @ Higher Ground - Tuesday 17th May 2011

Simon Basey

This month's SCALA Songwriters' workshop features The Timbers' award-winning songwriter Simon Basey who will be talking about constructing songs that don't necessarily conform to the standard verse and chorus structures. Simon is well-known to many of us and I'm sure that we are keen to discuss aspects of our craft with him this Tuesday. His song, Square Mile, was a winner in the 2010 SCALA Festival of Original Music demo section.

 

The usual Songwriters' Circle will follow Simon's presentation, so please come along ready to give us a song. There will be a guitar available for use.
